Event Overview
The Fairfield Horseshoe is one of the most celebrated ridge routes in the Lake District. This winter guided walk follows the classic anti-clockwise circuit from Ambleside, climbing gradually to the ridge line before summiting Dove Crag, Hart Crag, and Fairfield. Weather permitting, you’ll enjoy sweeping views across the central fells, Helvellyn range, and Windermere.
Winter conditions can add challenge and atmosphere to this already impressive route. With Dougie’s mountain experience and route knowledge, you’ll be supported throughout the day with safe pacing, navigation, and winter awareness.
